As I write this post, I am feeling a little sleepy.
It must be due to the tempura don dinner that I had earlier. Hehe.
Ok, just now I promised to show you some pictures right?
Alright, first look at my ladies’ fingers (okra) sizzling in the oil.
Well, don’t say I never warn you, if you are using a normal saucepan to deep-fry, try to use longer chopsticks to protect yourself as the oil will splatter. Leave the shitake mushrooms (these are the worst!) especially, to your partner. LOL.
Finally, my tempura combo platter consisting of shitake mushrooms, carrot, ladies’ finger and prawns.
The next time I make this again, I must include brinjal too. YUM…
Before serving, I drizzled tempura sauce and sprinkled bits of Japanese furukake (dried seaweed seasoning) on the rice. Then I arranged the tempura nicely.
Here’s a closeup.
So how does this home-cooked tempura rice look to you?
Glad to hear your comments!
